Stunning views and an outdoor entertainment area on the large surrounding deck leads down to a good-sized grassed, landscaped area. 2 bedrooms upstairs, 2 bedrooms down, with bathrooms on each level. Upstairs includes an office, while downstairs has a fully carpeted games room with ping-pong table. This property has plenty of off-street parking and is just a short walk to the village eateries & shops and the lakefront.

The Bivouac house offered by Discover Tekapo was wonderful to stay in for our family and would easily serve bigger groups well – there are three separate toilets! The place is also well furnished, cosy yet modern and has a beautiful balcony on which you can see the stars on a clear-sky night. Possibly our favourite stay of our entire South Island trip!

Love staying in this house. Great staff at the office with clear instructions to check in. Love they have grill stove at the balcony, the tennis table in the garage and the large table to dine outside with a stunning view. LOVE LOVE LOVE how you can simply stargaze at the balcony without all the hassle. Amazing stay. Would definitely recommend!

An absolutely perfect home in a mind-blowing location. View is spectacular, and town is an easy walking distance. The local supermarket is very well stocked. Perfectly suited our two families. We felt right at home.

We loved our stay at Bivouac! This was the nicest house that we’ve stayed in on our New Zealand trip! The porch has a beautiful view of the lake and mountains and is perfect for sunset. We made lots of use of the grill and outside dining table. The showers are amazing and all of the rooms had very comfortable beds.
