Located on the main highway halfway between the cities of Christchurch & Queenstown, Tekapo is an ideal base for exploring the legendary Mackenzie district, including Aoraki Mount Cook (1 1/4 hour drive) and ski areas Roundhill, Mt Dobson & Ohau Snow Fields.
