High Country Retreat

This modern studio is a cosy and comfortable alternative to a hotel, perfect for a night or two at beautiful Lake Tekapo. With its own private entrance and patio, High Country Retreat offers a peaceful space to relax and enjoy the surrounding alpine environment.  Step outside onto the private patio and soak up the tranquility of the setting. In summer, you may catch glimpses of Lake Tekapo through the established trees, while autumn brings beautiful colour to the garden. During winter, when the trees are bare, you’ll enjoy more expansive views across to the lake and surrounding mountains. The studio is thoughtfully equipped for a short stay, with a kettle, toaster and mini-fridge for preparing simple breakfasts, snacks and drinks. A heat pump keeps the space warm during the cooler months and provides cooling on warmer summer days.

When you’re ready to head out, the village centre is approximately a 20-minute walk away, with a selection of local cafés and restaurants to enjoy. A great choice for couples or solo travelers looking for a short escape, this cosy studio provides a comfortable base from which to experience Tekapo’s natural beauty, local eateries and spectacular alpine surroundings.

Nightly rates (minimum 2 night stay):

• from $280 for 1-2 guests, depending on season
• under 2 yrs free in a port-a-cot (available for hire)
• linen, towels and cleaning included
