Stoneleigh
Stoneleigh is a sunny family home located a short walk from the lakefront and village centre, supermarket, restaurants, cafes & bars. The spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area are very well equipped and kept cosy with a wood fire and heat pump. This area opens out onto a sheltered deck offering outside dining and mountain views.
The 4 bedrooms share 2 large bathrooms and an additional toilet. The upstairs queen bedroom opens onto a small patio, perfect for private star-gazing at Tekapo’s renown night sky.
The garage is available for storing wet ski gear and is a great space for kids big & small, with table tennis, darts and table football. This centrally located property has a fully fenced garden and plenty of off-street parking. The Cowans Hill track can be accessed directly behind the property, and the local trails around the lake can be explored on the 2 mountain bikes available for guests’ use.

We spent two nights and we had a great stay. Everything was clean and tidy and the best part of it is not just the space but the location. There is a great bush behind the property where we play with the kid and the snow. Plus it is a short walk to the restaurants and the lake. We’ll definitely come back here if visiting Lake Tekapo again.

Loved our stay. Big beautiful windows to watch the snow fall. Really loved the indoor fireplace. Lots of wood chopped outside for the fireplace. Lovely warm home. Beds comfortable and had electric blankets. It is certainly an older home but has great character to it. We enjoyed out stay. If its snowing don’t park too far down the driveway. The grader comes and does the main road but you need to get out of the driveway onto the road.

Close to Tekapo cafe and shops, house is lovely with a nice fireplace we can use. We could see stars in the backyard after midnight.

Clear instructions for check-in and how to locate the place. A very Cozy stay with well-equipped kitchen (with rice cooker!!!). Bathrooms come with towel warmer and heating, very thoughtful. It’s clean and spacious, great for big groups. Location is convenient too. Would book again in the future if we are coming back!

Lovely home. It’s not particularly modern but it is neat and comfortable with good heating. It is also really big with lots of space for a family. Big TV, lovely outlook, close to town centre. Highly recommend.

Great, comfortable stay. Spacious house, almost too big for our family of five. Very well equipped kitchen, has everything you need to cook at home. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer than two nights. Comfort beds, clean bathrooms, wonderful overall.
