Stoneleigh
Stoneleigh is a sunny family home located a short walk from the lakefront and village centre, supermarket, restaurants, cafes & bars. The spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area are very well equipped and kept cosy with a wood fire and heat pump. This area opens out onto a sheltered deck offering outside dining and mountain views.
The 4 bedrooms share 2 large bathrooms and an additional toilet. The upstairs queen bedroom opens onto a small patio, perfect for private star-gazing at Tekapo’s renown night sky.
The garage is available for storing wet ski gear and is a great space for kids big & small, with table tennis, darts and table football. This centrally located property has a fully fenced garden and plenty of off-street parking. The Cowans Hill track can be accessed directly behind the property, and the local trails around the lake can be explored on the 2 mountain bikes available for guests’ use.

The house is spacious, quiet and with a good kitchen and green vista. It is a short drive to town centre. You can even stargaze from the upper floor balcony.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the log burner fireplace was excellent. The whole house was very comfortable with every up to date amenity but the charm of an older house. Great to have dry firewood, plenty of heating in all rooms, and to be in a quiet and private neighbourhood very close to the heart of Tekapō. Handy to back on to a forest area with great walks. We have already recommended to friends and would gladly return.

We recently stayed at Stoneleigh, a spacious and comfortable home in Tekapo, and had an excellent experience. Our group of six spent two nights here, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful street and cozy atmosphere of the house. The home was well-equipped and provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.
Tekapo itself is a gem, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The local restaurants were fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options, and the friendly people made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Stoneleigh was the perfect base for our Tekapo adventure. Highly recommended!
