Tucked away down a long driveway right beside beautiful Lake Tekapo, this modern holiday home offers a wonderfully private and peaceful retreat just a short walk from the lakefront. Surrounded by native trees, birdsong and plenty of space to relax, the outdoor area is a lovely place to unwind. Fire up the BBQ, gather around the picnic table and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings.

Inside, the central living area provides a comfortable space to relax after a day exploring the Mackenzie Country. A heat pump keeps the home cosy, while a Smart TV and music centre provide plenty of entertainment for quieter evenings. The spacious king bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and sliding doors opening directly onto the deck. The queen bedroom also opens onto the deck, creating a lovely connection with the surrounding garden and bush. A second bathroom includes both a bath and shower.

Despite its peaceful and private setting, Bush House is exceptionally well located. A few minutes’ walk up the driveway brings you to spectacular lake and mountain views, the Sheepdog Memorial and the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd. A further 10 minutes along the walking track will take you across the footbridge and into the heart of Lake Tekapo village, where you’ll find a selection of eateries and shops.

Nightly rates (2 night minimum stay):

• from $360 for 1-2 guests, depending on season.
• plus $50 per extra guest
• under 2 yrs free in a port-a-cot (available for hire)
