This place was large and spacious, and had an absolutely amazing view of the lake! Heatpump/heaters/electric blankets were fantastic in the cold weather. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. It’s located close to town centre and check in/out was easy. Would definitely recommend this place when visiting Tekapo!

This is an excellent property with a great view of Lake Tekapo. The property is double glazed and well insulated and catches the sun well so is very warm. The beds were very comfortable and two bathrooms made for a great family stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the fittings throughout the house are all of a high standard. It was only a 10 minute walk down to the waterfront restaurants. Very easy pickup and return of key. The living area is spacious with great views.

The absolute best feature of the Walter Black house is the view. Being a little up on the hill away from town really enhances that. The two sets of bifold glass doors really open it up and cool everything down quickly. Watching the moonlight on the lake at sundown was the icing on the cake.  The house is new, fixtures are all clean and everything is functional and comfortable.  Laundry washer in garage with racks to dry clothing, it all dried overnight. Would definitely recommend it.

The place is huge and peaceful. We had pretty good sleep with comfortable beds. The view from the kitchen was amazing and you can actually watch stars through here!
