Great place, there are nearly everything in public areas, also great views, it’s convenient if you have a car, we also walked to the lake and it took about 15 min, not too far but still a little distance.

You can walk to Lake Tekapo and stargaze at night. The room is not big; it was a bit cramped for two people with two suitcases.

I was a little hesitant to book since there weren’t many reviews of the lodge at the time. Tekapo was VERY busy when we visited, we booked late, and lodging choices were limited. That said, I really liked this lodging, we had a view of the lake from our room, there were picnic tables and seating in front of the lodge where you could sit and see the lake. The room and bed were comfortable. It was dark enough on the back patio for stargazing, and I could see the Milky Way and so many stars. There is a huge shared kitchen with two of everything – refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, etc. There is a nice shared living room seating area with a nice view of the lake and a television. Plenty of dishes and pans for cooking. It’s a very short drive to town (Tekapo is very small). Our stargazing tour picked us up in front of the unit which was nice in the dark! There is also a laundry room with a free washer and dryer, which was VERY appreciated!

Very nice clean accommodation overlooking the lake. Excellent furnished (and styled) shared kitchen. Absolutely quiet, located on the edge of the village. Everything is within walking distance in 10-15 minutes.
